smartA**Philosophy privacy policy

This policy explains how the smartA**Philosophy mobile app ("the App") handles your data. The App is published by KataTonik Dev LLC ("we", "us"), based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

THE SHORT VERSION

We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. The App runs entirely on your device. There are no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no user accounts.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The App stores the following information locally on your iPhone or iPad.

None of it leaves your device:

• Your favorited quotes

• Your notification time preference

• Your "allow repeats" setting and theme preference

• Internal state used to rotate quotes (which day you're on, which quotes you've already seen)

• Whether you have purchased the in-app pack

This data is stored in standard iOS storage (Core Data and UserDefaults) and is shared between the App and its Home Screen widget through an App Group. Deleting the App removes all of it.

IN-APP PURCHASES

The App offers one optional in-app purchase ("Enlightenment or Whatever," $2.99 one-time, non-consumable). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment information, card details, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

If you tap "Restore Purchases," the App asks Apple whether you have previously purchased the pack. No data leaves your device beyond what Apple itself handles.

NOTIFICATIONS

If you enable daily notifications, the App schedules them locally through Apple's UserNotifications system. The content (today's quote text) is composed on your device and shown by iOS. We do not send push notifications from any server — we don't have one.

WIDGET

The Home Screen widget reads the same locally-stored daily quote and shows it on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. It does not connect to the network.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

• We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, or any account information.

• We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV).

• We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data.

• We do not use analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Crashlytics, etc.).

• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking.

• We do not share data with any third party because we don't have any data to share.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is rated 12+ for occasional mild profanity in the quotes. We do not knowingly collect any data from children of any age, since we do not collect data from anyone.

YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)

Because we do not collect or process any personal data, there is nothing to request access to, export, correct, or delete from us. To remove all locally-stored data, uninstall the App.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the Effective Date above. Material changes will be noted in the App's release notes.
